About ACTSA Membership
The Association serves its members by:
- Providing a forum for corporate treasurers to identify current issues.
- Promoting the interests of the industry.
- Promoting high ethical standards in the industry.
- Providing a level of internationalisation through overseas affiliation and cooperation
- ACTSA has representation on the Market Practitioners Group work streams that facilitate the discussions for the transition to a revised benchmark Interest Rates.
- ACTSA participates in South African Reserve Bank’s South African Foreign Exchange Committee (SAFXC).
General
- Members of ACTSA have voting rights and may be elected to the board.
- Members will receive invitations to the meetings.
- Experience in Treasury is defined as three years experience in:
Corporate Finance, Currency Management, Liquidity Management, Commodities Management, Funding Management and related activities.

Professional Membership is available to organisations which basically render a service to Corporate Members such as Rating Agencies, Treasury Outsourcing Companies,Treasury/Software Providers etc.
Corporate Membership of ACTSA offers organisations with treasury operations the opportunity to become more closely involved in the Association’s activities. This gives organisations, especially companies the opportunity to raise any concerns of a “technical” nature, to contribute to the formation and presentation of the Association’s opinion and provides a discussion forum for ideas and concerns. Furthermore, by becoming a corporate member, the organisation’s employees obtain a real opportunity to be part of the financial community and benefit from ACTSA’s training and skills development programmes.

- ACTSA hosts/co-hosts conferences, forums, educational workshops and seminars for which members receive a discounted rate.
- Service providers are able to exhibit at conferences and have access to the Treasury community.
- ACTSA publishes an annual journal, The SA Treasurer which is distributed to its members and internationally via TMI (the UK Publishers).
- ACTSA developed the Charter of Best Practice in Treasury Management which has been accepted by 22 countries who are members of the International Group of Treasury Associations.
- ACTSA’s Website provides information, current events both locally and internationally, news and links to treasury sites around the world.
- Liaising with regulators (e.g. SARB, FSB) and other Associations;

On behalf of its members, ACTSA communicates all industry comments, reviews and issues to the regulatory authorities
Corporate Members
Corporate Members, any juristic persons, institutions, associations and/or organisations operating in the financial or non-financial sector with its own treasury function under management and who actively seeks to promote the treasury profession. For the avoidance of doubt, this excludes auditors, treasury outsourcing companies, treasury management system providers, treasury consultants or any other associated ancillary companies.
Professional Members
Professional Members, any juristic persons, institutions, associations and/or organisations operating in the financial or non‑financial sector, who are in the position to make professional contributions to the Company, who are mandated as a service provider by a Corporate Member.
